MAD STARS 2026: Asia’s Creative Future Starts Now

Updated: 23 hours ago

The global creative spotlight is turning toward Busan once again as MAD STARS 2026 officially opens its call for entries. As Asia’s only international festival celebrating creativity powered by technology and innovation, MAD STARS continues to position itself as a forward-looking platform where ideas meet impact.

This year’s edition builds on the festival’s growing global influence, bringing together industry leaders, agencies, production houses, tech innovators, students, and emerging talents from across the world. With judging conducted by more than 350 experts from over 70 countries, MAD STARS remains one of the most internationally diverse creative award platforms.

Why MAD STARS Matters for Asia

Unlike traditional award shows focused solely on craft, MAD STARS champions creativity that intersects with technology, human insight, AI, sustainability, and cultural relevance. It reflects a rapidly evolving creative landscape — one where Asia is no longer catching up, but setting benchmarks.

For emerging markets like Mongolia and across Central and Southeast Asia, MAD STARS offers:

  • Global exposure

  • Diverse jury evaluation

  • Networking with international creative leaders

  • Recognition beyond regional borders

This is not just an award platform — it is a gateway to global creative visibility.

Special Invitation to Mongolia & Asian Creatives

Adjournal Asia encourages Mongolian agencies, production companies, startups, independent creators, and students to participate this year. In particular, young professionals and students should take note of two signature competitions:

  • Young Stars MAD Competition

For university students and future industry leaders ready to test their creative skills on an international stage.

  • New Stars MAD Competition

For professionals with under five years of experience — a powerful opportunity to gain global recognition early in their careers. These platforms are designed to elevate the next generation of Asian creative voices.

Mongolia Represented on the Final Jury

We are proud to share that Enkhbayasgalan Tungalag, Founder of Adjournal Asia and 2025 Cannes Lions Jury Member, has been appointed as a Final Jury for MAD STARS 2026. His appointment reflects Mongolia’s growing presence in the international creative arena and signals a new chapter for regional representation at global festivals. As Asian storytelling continues to rise, representation in global juries matters. It ensures culturally rooted perspectives help shape global creative standards.
